The Green Festival
For 2010, the Niagara Food Festival continues its enhanced efforts to minimize its environmental impact. New "Green" initiatives, such as ensuring vendors use compostable plates is moving the Niagara Food Festival closer to the ultimate target of zero waste.
With the help of GLAD & Jean Vanier’s Environmental Club, patrons of the Food Festival will have their waste escorted to the proper container. 8 stations will be set up throughout the festival grounds to ensure that waste is disposed of in the appropriate place. This partnership helps everyone do their part in preserving our environment.
