Apple Pie Contest Deadline Extended!
The deadline for the Apple Pie Contest has been extended to Thursday, September 29 at 4 p.m. To enter, please download the registration form, and bring the completed form to the Scotiabank branch at 440 Niagara St. in Welland, where you will receive your Pyrex pie plates. |
The Green Festival

Niagara Food Festival Adds Culinary Stars as Honorary Chairs
WELLAND- Culinary power couple Michael and Anna Olson have been named as the first-ever Honorary Chairs of the Niagara Food Festival, the Festival board announced today. This new honour recognizes the vital role the Olsons have played in the ongoing growth and success of the Festival – through promotion, personal appearances, operational experience and advice.

The Peninsula's Tastiest Party is just around the corner …
Mark your calendars: a favourite rite of fall is just weeks away. The 2011 Niagara Food Festival kicks off September 30 with a mix of new vendors and traditional favourites, new contests, top-notch local entertainment and a familiar location behind the Civic Square in historic downtown Welland.
The fun-filled three-day festival will feature more than 25 food vendors from Niagara and beyond offering something for every palate, the Experience Niagara Market, where food producers will showcase the best of Niagara, contests, including a firefighters chilli cookoff, a search for the best apple pie and new this year, Niagara's own Cupcake Wars.
